Partner Profiles: Metropolitan Association of Commerce
The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce is a 148-year-old private, not-for-profit organization representing nearly 2,000 member businesses with 500,000 employees in the four-county southeastern Wisconsin area and beyond. The MMAC serves as an advocate for metropolitan businesses to encourage business development, capital investment and job creation.
MMAC supports measures to create and sustain market competition for existing and emerging information technology and telecommunications services. When a vibrant marketplace of information technology options is allowed to compete on a level regulatory playing field our members benefit.
Choice and competition are the keys to a successful technology future in Wisconsin. Fiscal and regulatory barriers to innovation and new technologies must be removed if Wisconsin is to be a leader in the global marketplace of the 21st Century.
A strong environment for business creation and job growth cannot exist in Wisconsin without a cutting edge, world-class information technology infrastructure. Getting this issue right is key to Wisconsin’s economic competitiveness.
